Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Strengthen Bilateral Relations with Document Exchange in Astana

Astana: A ceremony for the exchange of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan documents took place in Astana, featuring participation from President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event marked the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on Strategic Partnership and Allied Relations between the two nations.

Initially, Presidents Aliyev and Tokayev signed several key documents including a joint statement celebrating the anniversary, and two decisions from the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and approving the charter of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.

Following this, various agreements and memorandums were exchanged by ministers of both countries. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Justice Yerlan Sersembayev exchanged an agreement on industrial property protection. Additionally, energy cooperation was solidified through an agreement exchanged by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov.

Further exchanges included memorandums on internal affairs, statistics, and healthcare cooperation, reflecting a broad spectrum of collaborative efforts. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev also participated in several exchanges involving public service delivery, artificial intelligence, and competition policy.

This ceremony underscores a significant step in reinforcing the strategic alliance and cooperative endeavors between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, highlighting a commitment to mutual growth and development across various sectors.
