Baku: A delegation from the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) visited Kazakhstan to strengthen the partnership between the two nations' trade unions. This visit aimed to enhance Azerbaijan's health tourism prospects, foster experience exchange, and bolster cooperative efforts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegates participated in a meeting at the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FTURK). During this meeting, Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of AHIK, highlighted the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, driven by the political will of their leaders, Ilham Aliyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He stressed the foundation of friendship and brotherhood that supports further cooperation between their trade unions.

The discussions acknowledged the state's supportive role in facilitating public institutions' effective functioning. The Azerbaijani representatives shared insights into modernizing the trade union system, enhancing labor rights protection mechanisms, broadening social services, and advancing digital capabilities. Presentations covered AHIK's electronic services, the e-AHIK Electronic Reservation Platform, and the integration of artificial intelligence to boost digitalization. Additionally, they discussed efforts to improve conditions at health and recreation centers.

Satybaldy Dauletalin, Chairman of FTURK, outlined his organization's activities and projects, underscoring the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries' trade unions. He advocated for expanding experience exchanges and undertaking joint projects.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the 'Roadmap for 2026-2028', marking a significant step toward implementing the Cooperation Agreement between AHIK and FTURK. This document delineates key areas for collaboration and joint initiatives.

During their visit, AHIK representatives also engaged with leaders of the Public Association 'Sectoral Professional Trade Union of Workers of Railway, Road, Air and Water Transport of Kazakhstan' and primary trade union organizations. They explored the operations of the '????????? ????????????' newspaper, further solidifying the partnership.
