Baku: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population hosted a delegation from the Latvian Ministry of Welfare, led by Imants Lipskis, the Director of the Labour Market Policy Department, who is visiting Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit is to exchange experiences in alignment with the Action Plan signed in March, which aims to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two ministries.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister Rashad Mustafayev emphasized the strong relationship between Azerbaijan and Latvia and the potential to expand cooperation in labor and social protection. The meeting also addressed Azerbaijan's labor reforms, digitalization, active employment programs, and vocational training.
Both parties shared presentations on their respective labor markets, employment initiatives, and new projects. Discussions also covered future cooperation in employment services and opportunities for Azerbaijani workers in Latvia's labor market.
