New York City:Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting with Abdoulaye Diop, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mali, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions between the two ministers covered the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Mali relations. They emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue, increasing mutual visits, and enhancing the institutional foundations of their bilateral cooperation.

The conversation also highlighted the importance of bolstering mutual support within international organizations such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. Azerbaijan expressed its commitment to increasing its engagement with African countries and the African Union.

As a result of these discussions, the ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations. This agreement aims to strengthen institutional ties and ensure consistent and regular political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Mali.
