Azerbaijan and Mongolia Open New Chapter of Legal Partnership, Prosecutor General Says

Baku: 'The meeting with the Mongolian Prosecutor General contributed to opening a new chapter in legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and Mongolia. Under the instructions of the Azerbaijani President, the Prosecutor General's Office establishes close partnerships with the law enforcement authorities of different countries. These ties are developing successfully both bilaterally and within the international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the European Union, and the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP),' said Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General, as he addressed the meeting with students at the National Aviation Academy, with his Mongolian counterpart Jargalsaikhan Banzragch also in attendance.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kamran Aliyev underscored the importance of international collaboration in legal assistance, promptness, and efficiency while conducting investigative actions in specific criminal cases. He highlighted the need for joining forces among the law enforcement authorities in this regard.

Highlighting the reciprocal visits of both countries' law enforcement delegations in 2024 and 2025, Kamran Aliyev described the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed between the two Prosecutor General's Offices as a logical conclusion of these contacts.

He also expressed confidence that the document would contribute to expertise sharing and advancing the legal systems of both countries.
