Azerbaijan and Pakistan Discuss Enhanced Military Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense announced that Colonel General Karim Valiyev, the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, met with a Pakistani delegation led by Major General Muhammad Imran Khan Babar. The Pakistani delegation was headed by the Chief of the Main Department for Foreign Military Cooperation at the Headquarters of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Colonel General Karim Valiyev emphasized the strong foundation of friendship and brotherhood underpinning the relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing strategic partnership between the two nations. The regular interactions between their defense institutions' senior leadership have provided fresh momentum to their bilateral military relations, Valiyev noted.

Major General Muhammad Imran Khan Babar expressed his gratitude for the warm reception in Azerbaijan. He highlighted that the frequent meetings between the two countries have positively influenced military cooperation. The discussions also included detailed exchanges on military education, military-technical cooperation, joint exercises, and other mutual interests.
