Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, and Rovshan Najaf, President of Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR), recently met with Serbia's Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka edovic Handanovic, to discuss the ongoing energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the strategic partnership between the two nations, with both sides acknowledging the positive momentum in their economic relations. The officials emphasized the significance of the first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council between Azerbaijan and Serbia, conducted at the start of 2026, as a pivotal moment in strengthening their economic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
During the discussions, the Serbian delegation received detailed insights into Azerbaijan's favorable investment environment. Both parties explored the current status and future potential of their cooperation in various sectors, including energy, green technologies, infrastructure, industry, and investment. They also reviewed the progress of initiatives undertaken in collaboration with SOCAR and deliberated potential joint projects that could further enhance their bilateral partnership.
