Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic. The discussion revolved around the situation in the Middle East, with both leaders expressing concern over the escalating tensions in the region.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conversation included condemnation of recent drone attacks carried out by Iran against Nakhchivan. During the call, President Ilham Aliyev also took the opportunity to congratulate President Aleksandar Vucic on his birthday, to which the Serbian President expressed gratitude.
The leaders emphasized the importance of the development of friendly relations and strategic partnership ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia. They also discussed opportunities for future cooperation between the two countries.
