Madrid: A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev, participated in a series of strategic events and meetings in Spain aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries. The visit included the Spain-Azerbaijan roundtable and the Second Spanish-Azerbaijani Strategic Economic Dialogue, where discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the Spain-Azerbaijan roundtable held in Madrid, Deputy Economy Minister Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan's business environment and emphasized the potential for collaboration in various sectors including trade, investment, energy, transport-logistics, agriculture, and technology.
The Second Spanish-Azerbaijani Strategic Economic Dialogue resulted in the adoption of a roadmap outlining a partnership framework between the two nations. This roadmap focuses on key areas such as trade, investment, and transport-transit, paving the way for future cooperation.
Deputy Economy Minister Aliyev engaged with several Spanish officials, including Amparo Lopez Senovilla, State Secretary for Trade, Pedro Puy Fraga, President of the Committee on Economy, Trade and Digital Transformation of the Congress of Deputies, and Jaime Lillo Lopez, Executive Director of the International Olive Council. Discussions during these meetings concentrated on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and technologies, and aimed at fostering closer ties between business communities in Azerbaijan and Spain.
