Azerbaijan and Tajikistan Formalize Annual Education Quota Agreement

Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved an agreement with Tajikistan regarding the mutual allocation of annual education quotas between the two countries. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to bring this agreement to fruition.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree mandates that the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan is responsible for the implementation of the agreement's provisions. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with notifying the Government of Tajikistan that the necessary domestic procedures for the agreement's enactment have been completed.

The agreement, which aims to foster educational collaboration between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tajikistan, was initially signed in Baku on May 21, 2026.
