Baku: Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has highlighted the recent digital transformation at SOCAR Carbamide as a pivotal example of successful innovation in the country's industrial sector. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this transformation, launched in 2023 in partnership with McKinsey, showcases the potential of Industrial AI and digital platforms in modernizing industrial operations.

Jabbarov noted that the development of platforms such as EnergyAI, along with the introduction of predictive-maintenance copilots and customized digital solutions, have led to increased production and improved gas and energy efficiency at SOCAR Carbamide. Additionally, the initiative has strengthened operational reliability and supported the development of local talent through the SOCAR Digital Academy.

The global significance of SOCAR Carbamide's transformation is underscored by its feature on the front page of McKinsey's global website. This recognition highlights the project's success in leveraging advanced technologies and local expertise to achieve measurable impact in the industrial sector.

The initiative is part of SOCAR's broader digital excellence strategy, which has been recognized by three World Economic Forum Digital Lighthouse awards. The experience and insights gained from SOCAR Carbamide's transformation provide a scalable model for the digital transformation of SOCAR's operations and Azerbaijan's industrial sector as a whole.
