Azerbaijan and Tajikistan Strengthen Consular Cooperation During Baku Consultations

Baku: The next consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan took place in Baku, as confirmed by the Azerbaijan MFA to APA. The meeting served as a platform to discuss and enhance bilateral relations in various consular matters.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Tajik delegation was headed by Bakhodur Safarzoda, Chief of the Main Consular Department. The consultations also saw the participation of Ilkhom Abdurakhmon, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, and officials from several Azerbaijani ministries, including Justice, Science and Education, and the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation. They also reviewed cooperative efforts in justice, education, labor, social protection, and other significant sectors. The meeting concluded with the signing of a protocol by the heads of both delegations, underscoring their commitment to further collaboration.

Additionally, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev, held a meeting with the Tajik delegation, highlighting the importance of these consultations in strengthening bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
