Teaching of Azerbaijani Language Begins at Benha University in Egypt

Cairo: The teaching of the Azerbaijani language has commenced at the Foreign Languages Center of the Faculty of Philology at Benha University in Egypt. This initiative marks a new chapter in cultural exchange and educational opportunities between Egypt and Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the course is organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Egypt with financial backing from the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At its inception, 20 individuals have enrolled in the course, with applications still open for others interested in participating.

The course has attracted a diverse group of participants, including students from various faculties of the university, as well as teachers and researchers. Participants have expressed significant interest in learning about the Azerbaijani language, its literature, and culture. Some students are planning to further their studies in Azerbaijan and are considering applying for scholarship programs to support their educational journey.
