Azerbaijan and Trkiye Strengthen Legal Ties Through High-Level Meeting

Baku: Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev recently hosted a delegation from Trkiye led by Justice Minister Akin Grlek, with discussions centered on enhancing legal cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the officials underscored the enduring brotherhood and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, underpinned by the "One nation, two states" philosophy introduced by National Leader Heydar Aliyev. This strong bilateral relationship is bolstered by the close ties between the presidents of both countries and their shared political commitment.

The meeting focused on the positive impact of the bilateral relations in advancing legal cooperation. It emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among prosecution, justice, and law enforcement authorities. The officials discussed enhancing legal assistance mechanisms and intensifying joint efforts to combat crime, thereby advancing international legal cooperation.

Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev expressed optimism about the continued development of cooperation between the prosecution and justice authorities of Azerbaijan and Trkiye. Justice Minister Akin Grlek highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries across various sectors, including the judiciary and justice sectors, and noted the significance of joint initiatives in strengthening judicial cooperation.

The Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgn, also attended the meeting, further underscoring the commitment to enhanced cooperation between the two nations.
