Azerbaijan and Trkiye Strengthen Military Logistics Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan and Trkiye have taken significant steps to enhance their collaboration in military logistics, following the Protocol of the 17th Azerbaijan-Trkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting between the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces. An event was organized at the Main Logistics Department of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense to further this cooperation, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event began with a moment of silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan, the founder of the Republic of Trkiye Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of both nations. The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Trkiye were subsequently played.

In line with the event's agenda, presentations were made to highlight the logistics experience gained during the Patriotic War. The event underscored that the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye are instrumental in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Participants engaged in discussions about the critical role of logistics on the modern battlefield, focusing on strategic warnings, critical vulnerabilities, and autonomous sustainment. The discourse also covered wartime food and water supplies, the transportation of materiel and technical assets, maintenance unit activities, casualty evacuation, and the establishment of bath and laundry facilities.

The attendees visited a military unit, receiving briefings on clothing and food support measures organized by the Azerbaijan Army. The event concluded with the signing of a working protocol, the exchange of commemorative gifts, and a Q and A session addressing the participants' questions.
