Ganja: The Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and Ege University of Trkiye recently participated in an online meeting to discuss the potential implementation of a double-diploma program. The meeting included senior leadership teams from both universities who explored the academic and administrative coordination mechanisms necessary for the program, as well as financial and management considerations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Zafar Gurbanov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, stated that the program aligns with the university's internationalization strategy, aiming to enhance research capabilities and improve specialist training quality. Gurbanov emphasized that the dual-degree program is crucial for promoting academic mobility and cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Musa Alci, Rector of Ege University, highlighted the strengthening ties between the two institutions. He noted that the joint program boosts academic prestige and broadens exchange opportunities. He mentioned that future objectives include joint research initiatives, innovative teaching methods, and expanded university-industry cooperation.
The discussions also covered implementation mechanisms, funding strategies, quality control, and sustainable development plans for the program. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Financial Agreement, which is essential for reinforcing the legal and financial framework, defining mutual obligations, and ensuring long-term cooperation between the universities.
