Azerbaijan and Turkey Strengthen Ties in Family, Women, and Children Affairs

Baku: Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan, recently held a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to the country Birol Akgn. The discussion centered around enhancing bilateral cooperation in matters concerning family, women, and children.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Muradova underscored the longstanding relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey, describing their strategic partnership as exemplary. She noted the strong commitment both nations have towards peace and justice, expressing confidence in the sustainability of these ties.

Ambassador Akgn echoed these sentiments, affirming the robust and high-level strategic cooperation between the two countries. Both parties deliberated on advancing collaborative efforts in family, women, and children’s affairs, stressing the significance of joint projects and initiatives.

The meeting also focused on the initiatives outlined in the Action Plan for 2023-2025, part of the “Protocol for Cooperation in the Field of Policy on Family, Women and Children’s Issues” signed by the two committees. The anticipated new Action Plan for the next three years is expected to create further opportunities for collaboration.
