Baku: Azerbaijan will be represented in two categories at the Para Badminton World Championships for the first time, with both the men’s singles and women’s doubles events.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the men’s singles category will feature Ibrahim Aliyev, who will challenge for the title in the SU-5 category against the world’s top players. In the women’s doubles category, Zahra Salmanli and Narmin Iskandarova will test their strength in the SH-6 category.

This marks a milestone for Azerbaijan, as the athletes are participating in two distinct categories in the championship for the first time.

The BWF Para Badminton World Championships will be held on February 7-14, in Manama, Bahrain.
