Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, recently held a meeting with a U.S. delegation led by Caleb Orr, the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs. The discussions centered around the implementation of the TRIPP project and the enhancement of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both sides explored the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations, focusing on cooperation in key areas such as economy, energy security, transport and communications, investment, and trade. They reaffirmed the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation under the Charter on Strategic Partnership, emphasizing the significance of the inaugural session of the Azerbaijan-U.S. Economic Dialogue for advancing bilateral ties.

The meeting highlighted the longstanding cooperation in the energy sector, particularly regarding energy security. The parties also explored potential collaboration opportunities in renewable energy, green transition, innovation, and high technologies. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov shared insights into Azerbaijan's investment-friendly environment, regional connectivity projects, and initiatives aimed at promoting international transport corridors, underscoring the growing significance of the Middle Corridor for regional economic integration.

The discussions addressed the regional situation and the progress made following the historic agreements at the Washington summit in August last year. They also focused on the opening of communication lines and the implementation of the TRIPP project. Both parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, reinforcing their commitment to strengthen bilateral ties.
