Abu dhabi: In the presence of the Azerbaijani and UAE presidents, significant documents were signed concerning collaborations in the energy and defense sectors. A notable agreement involved the sale of a portion of the non-controlling stake held by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy in Southern Gas Corridor CJSC to XRG, the international investment arm of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, further strengthening bilateral ties, a Letter of Intent on defense cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates. These agreements mark a step forward in the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE, focusing on mutual benefits in energy and defense industries.
