Baku: The Azerbaijani government and the United Nations are set to engage in another dialogue focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), announced Arzu Naghiyeva, Deputy Head of the Sustainable Development and Social Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy. This announcement was made during the panel discussions of the Youth-Led Climate Forum.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, since 2022, Azerbaijan has been actively participating in regular SDG Dialogues facilitated by the UN National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Economy, and the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office. The upcoming dialogue, scheduled for next month, will center on investing in education as a crucial component of Azerbaijan’s sustainable development strategy.

Naghiyeva highlighted the significant role digital technologies play in driving sustainable development. The Ministry of Economy is collaborating with international organizations to enhance the labor market by focusing on digital skills and preparing the workforce to align with global digital trends.

One of the key initiatives in this area is the Post-Industrial Revolution Academy, which has so far benefited 10,000 participants at no cost. The academy has offered 1,800 courses, primarily concentrating on topics such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, blockchain, and cloud technologies, Naghiyeva noted.
