Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting on June 19 with Moussa Abderemane, the Minister of Finance, Budget and Banking Sector of the Union of the Comoros. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects for strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Union of the Comoros.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation, particularly within international organizations and multilateral platforms. Both parties highlighted Azerbaijan's active participation in organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement. The ministers stressed the significance of mutual support and solidarity within these frameworks.
The meeting also addressed the potential for expanding cooperation opportunities in light of the upcoming OIC Summit scheduled for 2027. The officials underscored the need to further strengthen relations through South-South cooperation. They acknowledged Azerbaijan's efforts in promoting collaboration with least developed countries using this platform.
