Azerbaijan and United States Aim to Boost Regional Connectivity Cooperation

Baku: The Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America have announced their intention to enhance cooperation to foster economic growth and regional connectivity. This initiative will focus on the development of the Middle Corridor, encompassing the energy, transport, and digital infrastructure sectors. The commitment was outlined in the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the two governments, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the charter emphasizes the importance of regional connectivity and outlines plans for both nations to explore opportunities to attract public and private sector investment in the energy and transport sectors, as well as in digital infrastructure development. This initiative aims to bolster economic ties and infrastructure projects such as the development of the TRIPP and other significant endeavors.

The charter also acknowledges Azerbaijan's strategic role as a reliable partner in energy security. It underscores the intent of both countries to expand energy cooperation, particularly in the oil, gas, and electricity sectors. This expansion will occur bilaterally and through partnerships with third countries, facilitating the implementation of joint projects, such as interconnector projects, and the diversification of supply routes.
