Davos: President Ilham Aliyev announced that Azerbaijan is entering a new stage of cooperation with the United States, covering political, economic, energy, and defense sectors. During the 'Azerbaijan Executive Breakfast,' part of the World Economic Forum's annual meeting, President Aliyev spoke about the progress made following the signing of a historical document with former President Trump. This document established a strategic working group focused on creating a Charter on Strategic Partnership.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the intensified collaboration with American companies, noting that the strategic charter is nearing completion and is expected to be finalized next month. Key elements of the charter include data centers, artificial intelligence, and various connectivity and energy issues. Since August 8, Azerbaijan has dispatched four delegations to Washington and other cities, all of which returned with positive outcomes.
President Aliyev expressed optimism that this new stage of relations with the United States will open up significant investment opportunities for Azerbaijan. He also hopes that Azerbaijan's European partners will continue to engage actively in this evolving partnership.
