Baku: Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister, met with a staff delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives. The meeting concentrated on the regional situation, emphasizing agreements from the Washington Peace Summit on August 8 and the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions also included measures related to the peace agreement and progress on the Charter on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States. Both parties exchanged views on Congress's initiatives concerning Azerbaijan, particularly the importance of repealing Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act. The dialogue underscored mutual interests on the bilateral agenda.
