Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Discuss Space Collaboration Opportunities

Baku: A delegation from the Space Agency of Azerbaijan, known as Azercosmos, recently met with representatives of Uzbekistan's Center for Space Monitoring and Geoinformation Technologies, which operates under the Space Research and Technology Agency (Uzcosmos). The discussions were centered on potential cooperation in areas such as Earth observation, satellite monitoring, and the application of geoinformation systems.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Uzbek Center presented outcomes of their work expected in 2025, showcasing projects that involve space-based monitoring, satellite data processing, and the development of geospatial products. Both sides have agreed to embark on joint projects with the aim of enhancing professional partnerships and facilitating knowledge exchange between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
