Azerbaijan Condemns Iranian Drone Attacks on Nakhchivan Civilian Infrastructure

Nakhchivan: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense has issued a strong condemnation of recent attacks on civilian infrastructure carried out by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. On March 5, Iranian forces launched attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles from Iranian territory, targeting Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian facilities within the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense is investigating the technical specifications of the drones used in the attacks. The ministry emphasized that these attacks were directed at civilian infrastructure without any military justification.

The Ministry of Defense has placed full responsibility for the incident on the Islamic Republic of Iran. In response, Azerbaijan is preparing necessary measures to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and to ensure the safety of its civilians and infrastructure. The ministry has assured that these acts of aggression will be met with appropriate responses.
