Samarkand:A delegation led by Chairman Farhad Abdullayev of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan participated in the 7th Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on October 1-2.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the congress focused on constitutional justice in the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence. The event commenced with a letter from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, addressed to the congress participants.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani Constitutional Court initiated a working meeting of the constitutional courts from the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Turkic World where representatives discussed potential cooperation and future initiatives.
Additionally, discussions took place between the Azerbaijani delegation and their Uzbek counterparts, led by Chairman Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov, focusing on the development of bilateral cooperation in constitutional justice and the enhancement of experience exchange.
The congress concluded with the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration.
