Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Sign Justice Cooperation Program for 2025-2026

Tashkent: Ministries of Justice of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have formalized a new Cooperation Program aimed at enhancing bilateral judicial collaboration. As part of his visit to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov engaged in discussions with his Uzbek counterpart Akbar Tashkulov, as reported by the Ministry of Justice to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, both ministers acknowledged the historical and fraternal ties between their nations, crediting Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev for their role in strengthening this alliance. The meeting provided a platform to explore opportunities for cooperation in justice and to discuss other mutual interests. The ministers underscored the significance of multilateral collaboration among member states within the Organization of Turkic States.

A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of the ‘Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of
Uzbekistan for 2025-2026.’ This program establishes a framework for joint initiatives in areas such as legal training, notarial practice, digitalization of justice, legislative development, forensic expertise, and other professional exchanges.
