Baku: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have established robust relations within the media sector, as highlighted by Natig Mammadli, deputy executive director of the Media Development Agency. Speaking at the Second Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum, with the theme ‘Digital Transformation and Media,’ Mammadli emphasized the strong ties and collaborative efforts that exist between the two countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mammadli elaborated on the roadmap designed to guide media activities in both nations. This roadmap has facilitated various initiatives over the years, including forums, journalist exchanges, press secretary collaborations, visits, and conferences. The ongoing forum, hosted in Azerbaijan, marks the second of its kind, following the inaugural event in Uzbekistan. The prior forum focused on unifying media resources to combat disinformation, a theme that continues to resonate in discussions at the current event.

The current forum will delve into digital transformation and media issues, featuring two panel sessions. Participants include experts and international-level journalists from both countries. These sessions aim to address critical challenges faced by journalism today, particularly in the context of legal frameworks and the digital landscape.
