Baku: Next year, Azerbaijan will have 11 non-working days to observe the Nowruz and Ramadan holidays, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided that in 2026, March 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 will be designated as Nowruz holiday days. As March 21 and 22 fall on a weekend, March 25 and 26 will also be non-working days as stipulated by the Labor Code.

For the Ramadan holidays in 2026, March 20 and 21 have been allocated as rest days. If these holidays overlap with other non-working holidays, the Labor Code mandates that the next working day should be considered a rest day. Consequently, March 27 and 30 will also be non-working days.

In total, the non-working days due to the Nowruz and Ramadan holidays will be March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, resulting in a complete 11-day break.
