Baku: Azerbaijan has reported an increase in its population numbers as of September 1, 2025. The State Statistical Committee revealed that the population grew by 24,611 people, or 0.24 percent, between January and August 2025, reaching a total of 10,249,500 individuals.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the demographic distribution shows that urban residents comprise 54.4 percent of the total population, while rural residents account for 45.6 percent. In terms of gender distribution, men make up 49.8 percent of the population, whereas women constitute 50.2 percent.
