Azerbaijan Announces Unified Voter List Figures

Baku: The number of voters in Azerbaijan has been announced, APA reports. At today's meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) dedicated to the results of the compilation and clarification of the unified voter list across the country, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov stated that as of May 26, 2026, the unified voter list across the country includes 6 million 332 thousand 229 voters. Approximately 47.59 percent of voters are men, while 52.41 percent are women.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Election Code mandates that the process of compiling the unified voter list across Azerbaijan begins in early January. Precinct election commissions are required to clarify voter lists in their territories and submit them to district election commissions (DECs) by February 5 each year. DECs must then submit the clarified preliminary voter lists for the constituencies to the Central Election Commission (CEC) no later than April 5. The CEC, in turn, is responsible for compiling the unified voter list across the country. It is also stipulated that the permanent voter list for each polling station must be approved by the precinct election commission in the form determined by the CEC by May 30 each year.
