Azerbaijan Appoints Samir Sharifov as New Co-Chair to Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Commission

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order appointing a new co-chair to the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan joint intergovernmental commission. The commission, which focuses on bilateral cooperation between the two nations, will now have Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov serving as the chair from the Azerbaijani side. Previously, the position was held by the Minister of Energy.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the change in leadership is part of a strategic move to bolster the collaborative efforts between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov will be responsible for overseeing the commission's activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the partnership between the two countries.
