Baku: The composition and rules of procedure for the Permanent Commission for the Investigation of Aviation Accidents and Incidents have been officially approved. Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the decision, which outlines the framework and personnel responsible for handling aviation accident investigations in Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the composition of the Permanent Commission includes several high-ranking officials. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan serves as the Chairman, while the Deputy Chairman role is filled by the Minister of Digital Development and Transport. Other key members include the Prosecutor General, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Emergency Situations, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Defense, Minister of Health, and Chairman of the State Customs Committee are also included.

Additionally, the commission’s membership comprises chiefs from critical security and intelligence services. These include the Chief of the State Security Service, the Chief of the State Border Service, and the Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service. The Chief of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service and the Chief of the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Facilities round out the commission.

The newly approved regulations provide a structured approach to investigating aviation accidents and incidents, ensuring coordinated efforts among various governmental bodies and services in Azerbaijan.
