Azerbaijan Approves Natural Gas Supply Agreement with Georgia

Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved an agreement to supply natural gas to Georgia. The Agreement, which is between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Georgia, has received the green light, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect. The decree mandates that once the Agreement is in force, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan is responsible for its implementation. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with informing the Government of Georgia that all necessary domestic procedures for the Agreement's activation have been completed.

The Agreement was initially signed in Baku on May 18, 2026.
