Baku: A ceremony marking Colombia's National Day was held in Baku, APA reports. Diplomats, public and political figures, media representatives, and other guests attended the event. The ceremony began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Colombia.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colombia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Nelsy Raquel Munar Jaramillo, spoke about the development of bilateral relations and the progress achieved between the two countries. The diplomat highlighted that culture and education are among the main areas bringing the two peoples together. The embassy is implementing various projects in Azerbaijan to promote Colombian literature, music, and the Spanish language.
Jaramillo added that the Spanish language program for Azerbaijani diplomats and civil servants has been organized for the 14th time this year, while the number of Colombians interested in studying in Azerbaijan is also increasing. She emphasized Colombia's commitment to dialogue, international cooperation, and multilateral partnership, noting that Azerbaijan is an important partner for Colombia in the South Caucasus and Eurasian region. Relations based on friendship, mutual trust, and shared interests are expected to continue developing between the two nations.
