Baku: The Regulation on the Quality Information System has been approved, APA reports. The Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decision on this matter, marking a significant step in the country’s digital development efforts.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with forming and maintaining the Quality Information System. This includes organizing its operation, ensuring its maintenance, effective use, and development. In collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, they are also responsible for ensuring that the open data generated within the system is placed on the ‘Open Data’ portal.

In line with the ‘Government Cloud (G-Cloud) Concept,’ the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, along with the Agency, is required to organize, implement, and enhance the transition of the Quality Information System to the Government Cloud.

The State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, must ensure the execution of measures ensuing from the Presidential Decree No. 263 of September 12, 2018. This decree focuses on the formation, maintenance, integration, and archiving of state information resources and systems, and certain measures related to e-government.
