Baku: The 'Regulations on the Electronic Competition Information System' have been approved following a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev. This marks a significant step towards enhancing the management and development of digital competition frameworks within the country.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree mandates the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control to take necessary actions to maintain, organize, and further develop the Electronic Competition Information System (ECIS). In collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the agency is tasked with ensuring the integration of ECIS into the 'Unified Register of State Information Resources, Systems and Electronic Services' and the 'State Register of Information Resources and Systems of Personal Data,' along with completing its state registration.
Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to address any issues that emerge as a result of this decree. The implementation of these regulations is expected to streamline processes and bolster the digital infrastructure related to competition and consumer market oversight in Azerbaijan.
