Azerbaijan Approves State Program to Combat Drug Addiction for 2025-2030

Baku: The “State Program for 2025-2030 on Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors” has been approved. President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order to implement this program.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the measures outlined in the State Program. They will oversee the execution of these measures and address any issues that arise from the Order.

In addition, the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the measures. This Commission must report to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan annually about the status of the implementation of the measures outlined in the State Program.
