Azerbaijan Approves UN Convention Against Cybercrime with Declarations and Reservations

Baku: Azerbaijan has given its approval to the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, which aims to strengthen international cooperation in combating certain crimes committed via information and communications technology systems and to facilitate the sharing of electronic evidence in serious crime cases.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Republic of Azerbaijan has endorsed the convention with specific declarations and reservations. This significant step was formalized by President Ilham Aliyev, who signed the law pertaining to the convention.

The convention was initially signed on October 25, 2025, in Hanoi, marking a collaborative effort to address cybercrime on a global scale.
