BAKU: The Azerbaijan Army organized a series of events to mark Gubadli City Day on October 25, involving family members of Shehids, servicemen, public representatives, and war veterans. The events began with a tribute to the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids who lost their lives for the nation’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also performed.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, speakers at the events highlighted the historical significance of the victory achieved through counter-offensive operations led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. These operations were in response to provocations from Armenian armed forces, demonstrating the solidarity of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War to liberate occupied lands, including Gubadli. The liberation of Gubadli was noted for its strategic importance.
The events also underscored the importance placed on historical traditions by the Azerbaijani government,
as reflected in the presidential decrees establishing city days. Musical performances celebrating patriotism were given by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and military orchestras.
