SHUSHA: Reconstruction in Shusha is advancing quickly, according to Felicia Bono, a traveler from the United States. During her visit with the UK Piki Reels club delegation, Bono highlighted the swift progress of restoration and construction work in the city, noting the historical style in which buildings are being reconstructed and expressed her eagerness to return.

According to Trend News Agency, Bono’s visit to Shusha marked her second trip to Azerbaijan, having previously visited Baku nearly a decade ago. The UK Piki Reels club, consisting of 33 members and led by Belgian Yves Bouvier, visited Shusha after a stop in Fuzuli. The group aims to learn about the damage caused during the Armenian occupation and observe the Azerbaijani state’s ongoing construction efforts in liberated regions.

The travelers will also explore several historical sites in Shusha. This visit is part of a broader initiative that has seen representatives from major international travel clubs visit Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur 11 ti
mes between 2020 and 2024, involving over 400 travelers from more than 50 countries. The UK Piki Reels club’s current tour marks their 12th visit to the region, focusing on the territories’ dark tourism potential while highlighting extensive reconstruction efforts. The club consists of seasoned travelers who have visited over 100 countries.
