Azerbaijan Army Commemorates Gubadli City Day with Series of Events


BAKU: The Azerbaijan Army organized a series of commemorative events to mark Gubadli City Day on October 25, as announced by the Ministry of Defense. The events, which included participation from family members of martyrs, servicemen, public representatives, and war veterans, began with a tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the commemoration also featured the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Speakers at the events highlighted the historical significance of the victory achieved through counter-offensive operations led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in response to provocations by Armenian armed forces. They emphasized the solidarity demonstrated by the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War, which played a crucial role in liberating occupied lands, including Gubadli.

The events under
scored the importance of presidential decrees establishing city days in Azerbaijan, reflecting the value placed on historical traditions. Musical performances by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and military orchestras further commemorated the day, with pieces celebrating patriotism.
