Baku:Training flights have been conducted with military pilots of the Azerbaijan Army as part of the activity plan approved by the Azerbaijan Minister of Defense for 2026, the Ministry of Defense told APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the exercise plan included assessments of pilots' theoretical knowledge of flight conditions and safety regulations. Personnel were briefed on relevant safety procedures to ensure preparedness.
Following medical examinations, military pilots conducted pre-flight inspections of Su-25ML and L-39 aircraft. The training involved practising take-offs and landings, performing aerobatic manoeuvres at various altitudes, determining coordinates of simulated enemy ground targets, conducting aerial reconnaissance, and executing other training tasks.
The primary objective of these training flights is to enhance the personnel's practical combat skills and improve their flight proficiency in responding to emerging threats to the country's airspace.
