Tbilisi: Azerbaijan Army servicemen are actively participating in the "Caucasus Eagle 2026" Joint Special Tactical Exercise at the Mukhrani Military Base near Tbilisi. This exercise brings together special forces from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense to APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the opening ceremony was attended by Faig Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, along with representatives from the Military Attach© Office and high-ranking guests from the participating countries. The event commenced with a minute of silence to honor military personnel who lost their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia. This was followed by the playing of national anthems and the raising of state flags.
Speakers at the ceremony welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of such exercises in improving joint operational planning and professional experience exchange. The exercise is designed to enhance cooperation among Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia in security and defense, and to improve the combat readiness of the participating units.
