Minsk: The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, along with the delegation he led, conducted visits to several military facilities in Belarus, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation toured an air base and a separate airborne assault brigade belonging to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. During these visits, the delegation received briefings on the military and special-purpose equipment utilized by the Special Operations Forces and electronic warfare units.
Colonel General Karim Valiyev's itinerary included a visit to the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Application and Training Center and an enterprise of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus. The delegation was briefed on the Center's activities, specifically regarding the training of UAS operators and the simulators employed in their instruction.
In addition to military site visits, the Azerbaijani delegation paid homage to the bust of Hero of the Soviet Union Najafgulu Rafiyev in Minsk. They laid a wreath at the monument, honoring his legacy.
