BAKU – The Military Administration Institute of the National Defense University recently conducted sessions involving brigade commanders and their deputies, along with chiefs of operational and combat training branches, as part of the Azerbaijan Army’s ongoing educational initiatives.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the sessions concluded with a graduation ceremony at the Azerbaijan Army's Training and Educational Center, presided over by Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, among other senior defense officials. The ceremony began with a tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and other martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, marked by a minute of silence followed by the national anthem.
Colonel General Valiyev, speaking on behalf of Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the sessions and underscored the importance of continued professional development in line with modern military requirements. He highlighted recent reforms and the strategic emphasis on training competent officers to meet current challenges.
The event also touched upon recent milestones in Azerbaijan's defense sector, including the presentation of JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets to President Ilham Aliyev at the International Defense Exhibition ADEX in Baku. The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates to the personnel who successfully completed the training sessions.
