International Prosecutors Conference Aims to Strengthen Regional Security and Combat Crime


BAKU—At the opening of the 29th Annual Conference and General Assembly of the International Association of Prosecutors, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev highlighted the event’s potential to bolster regional security and foster a unified approach to combating crime.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev addressed the assembly in Baku, underscoring the significance of the conference in enhancing the collaborative efforts against regional threats. Representatives from 10 international organizations and nearly 100 countries are in attendance, demonstrating the global commitment to these goals.



Aliyev articulated the foundational principles guiding the prosecutors’ mission: fairness, the rule of law, and the protection of democracy and human dignity. “The law is the foundation of a society where peace prevails,” he stated, adding that the conference will serve as “an effective means for developing existing potential and coordinating mutual activities.” He expressed confidence that the event, rooted in principles of friendship, would make a substantial contribution to regional security and the collective fight against all forms of crime.
