Azerbaijan Boosts Black Caviar Production by Nearly 50%.


Baku: Azerbaijan increased its production of sturgeon caviar by nearly 50% in the first nine months of 2024, as reported by APA-Economics citing the State Statistical Committee. The country produced 617.1 kg of sturgeon caviar during January-September 2024, marking a significant rise of 203.1 kg compared to the same period in 2023, when production was 414 kg.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Azerbaijan exported 480 kg of sturgeon caviar between January and August 2024, with a total value of $553,780. The average export price for 1 kg of black caviar during this time was 1,961 AZN. The report also highlights that Azerbaijan imported 3,630 kg of black caviar from China in the first eight months of this year, with an import value of $1,089,900, and an average import price of 510 manat per kg.
